FIELD OF APPLICATION i-CON VARIO 4

The i-CON VARIO 4 is perfectly suited for all SMT und PTH soldering applications in electronic production, rework and touch-up as well es in R&D. Especially suited for SMT soldering and desoldering are: the hot air tool i-TOOL AIR S and the desoldering tweezers CHIP TOOL VARIO. The range of application includes smallest SMD chips (0201), all kinds of standard SMD components up to high pin count components like PLCC 84 and high mass solder joints in PTH technology including their desoldering with a solder succing device.

i-CON VARIO 4
The i-CON VARIO 4 multichannel soldering and desoldering station meets even the most stringent demands placed on professional soldering and desoldering equipment. This flagship of the i-CON family offers the user four soldering tools for demanding soldering tasks, simultaneously: Flexible soldering and desoldering is provided for by the new, ergonomically designed soldering and desoldering hot air iron i-TOOL AIR S (200 W) with non-contact energy transfer, highly efficient soldering is offered with the i-TOOL, delivering a powerful 150 W, precise desoldering of the smallest SMD components is achieved with the new desoldering tweezers CHIP TOOL VARIO (80 W), and desoldering of leaded components is performed with the new X-TOOL VARIO (150 W). Naturally, attaching other AES Ersa soldering tools to the stations is possible. All functions, including the generation of the air and the vacuum required in the process, are bundled in the supply unit, which is equipped with the easily to operate i-Op facility and its clearly arranged displays. In addition, the station makes available interfaces for the AES solder fume extractor unit or the infrared preheating unit, as well as featuring an USB port. With a microSD memory card, the station can be quickly and safely configured, so that it is optimally prepared for all applications in professional electronic manufacturing. The station is well suited for the use in ESD protected zones.

i-TOOL-AIR S
Handy in size, convincing in power! The i-TOOL AIR S provides 200 W convection energy and ease of operation on multiple SMT applications. The hot air volume (2 to 20 l/min) is set directly on the hand piece and shown in the display of an i-CON VARIO 2 or 4 soldering station. To remove smallest chip components the operator can dose air volume precisely. Variable nozzles guarantee the best energy transmission to the solder joint. A built in motion sensor activates the i-TOOL AIR S, an IR-Sensor in the hand piece switches the tool on and off.

CHIP TOOL VARIO
The desoldering tweezers CHIP TOOL VARIO is characterized by its compact design and 2 x 40 W soldering power. It is perfectly suited for soldering ap-plications with smallest SMT components. The plug-in pairs of soldering tips are precisely adjustable and easy to exchange. A switching element changes the tools operation from self-closing to self-opening mode. Its built in motion sensor activates the CHIP TOOL VARIO from standby.

i-TOOL
The i-TOOL is an extremely lightweight but powerful soldering iron, accompanied by a wide range of beneficial AES Ersa long life soldering tips. 150 W heating power guarantee fastest heat up times and heat recovery. Process-window alarms, three energy levels and standby-sensor grant all i-CON-users an unrivalled process control in hand soldering.

X-TOOL VARIO
The PTH desoldering tool X-TOOL VARIO convinces by its highly efficient 150 W heating technology. The integrated design of heating element and desoldering tip provides a highly efficient heat transmission into the solder joint. Effective solder removal is possible within shortest time. The slim line geometry of heating head and desoldering tip allow striking operation even on densely populated boards.

i-TOOL HP
Highest performance for heavy mass soldering applications! The i-TOOL HP supplies 250 W heating power, exchangeable heating elements and in-dependently exchangeable soldering tips. All VARIO control units can ope-rate this powerful tool. For singular operation of the i-TOOL HP AES Ersa recommends the Version i-CON VARIO 2HP (0ICV2000HP).
